Sharon Mackinnon

Sharon completed a degree in Business Studies from Northampton University, and pursued a career in Marketing for 10 years, working in a range of industries: pharmaceutical, hospitality and mobile communications. Later, Sharon re-trained as a teacher and has spent the last 11 years as a classroom teacher, Assistant Head, Head of School and Headteacher. She was responsible for training and recruiting permanent staff as well as supply staff and understands the need for the ‘right fit’ of staff in specific schools.

Sharon has also worked as a supply teacher herself so understands the role of the supply teacher from both sides. She has a wealth of knowledge about what is needed in schools to ensure children are learning to the best of their capabilities and how the right staff have the ability to make such an impact.
