Secondary Supply Teacher

About the role:

  • Working in a Derby/Derbyshire secondary school within a distance you want to travel

  • Teach the planned and resourced work you've been provided with, supplemented with your own subject knowledge so the lessons are high quality

  • Ensure that the pupils produce a good level of work in line with the school's normal expectations

  • Manage behaviour so children are well-behaved in line with the school's behaviour policy

  • Mark/assess work produced according to the school's marking/assessment policy

  • Support a range of abilities and SEN needs

Job requirements:

  • Hold QTS or equivalent

  • Hold a degree in your subject specialism

  • Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain a new one

  • Have experience of teaching KS3/KS4 and/or KS5

  • Have a passion for teaching that means you instil a love of learning in the children you teach

  • Have a good understanding of safeguarding within secondary education

  • Have strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Have an ability to adapt to different daily/weekly environments
